Welcome World

I guess I should start with an introduction.

First and foremost I am not a writer. Grammar has never been a strong area in my life. I enjoy reading about traveling and researching. This led me to decided that I wanted to document all of my travels: Past and future. I want a place to capture my experiences, memories and photos.

I have been very lucky to travel as much as I have. When I was little, my family would always take family vacations to different places each year. We would travel here and there but never would leave the United States. The places we traveled was always incredible from Yellowstone to Grand Canyon to Washington DC; They always left me wanting more. This is where I think I developed my love for exploring and traveling. It is amazing to see what the world has to offer.

As I grew older, I got to travel further. For a high school graduation present, my family and I packed our bags and headed overseas for the first time. We had an amazing trip to London, Scotland and Paris. I honestly don't remember how long that vacation was but I do remember thinking it wasn't long enough.

In college, I was lucky enough to do not one but two study abroad trips.

My first was in the summer of 2008. This trip was two parts: Ireland and Paris. Ireland, I fell in love with Ireland. I loved the country side and the pubs. Something about it was magical. One of my favorite days has been in Ireland exploring the country side. Paris, It was nice to explore Paris a little more than the time I went a few years before.

In 2009, I got to go to what I would call a once-a-lifetime trip to South Africa. We spent most of our time in a town called Stellenbouch. We saw cultures that I had never been apart of before. We did travel to Cape Town and visit Robin Island.

These two trips opened my eyes.

Fast-forward a few years to now, I work a small job making only $11 an hour. I love my job and won't change it for the world. However, my trips have decreased in size. I do take trips mostly in the USA but I want to again start planning to exploring the adventure that is out there.

My goal is share my travels both past and present through stories and photos and to share research I have collected while planning our adventures and waiting for our next adventures. I will also share my budget and how I am able to afford traveling on so little. I will keep track of my budgets and decreasing my monthly spending to travel without debt. Mostly I want to pursue the adventures in the world.
