When I was a child, my mother would take me to the bookstore and I would go straight to the travel section. I would spend hours looking through books picture myself traveling the world and backpacking.
One of the first books I would pick up the first time I visited the bookstore in the new year was The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World.
This book helped me plan my trips from my first time to many, many, many more after. As Walt Disney world is always changing, the book is updated yearly. Make sure you get the newest edition. If you haven't seen the book, the guide it is giant but worth the read. Very, very informative.
The book is over 800 pages. In these pages, it is broken down into sections from Hotels to attractions to theme parks outside of Disney. They even break it down if you are traveling as a couple, family, business, first time and more. The book contains touring plans and itineraries based on your needs. The book goes into great detail on every area of your vacation helping you plan your vacation every step of the way.
My only negative is it needs to have more pictures of the attractions and restaurants.
My favorite part of this guide is that they give real opinions. If something went downhill or not up to standards the writers let you know. They also include readers comments giving a different perspective on rides and situations. It is honest and unbiased.
This is the most comprehensive guide book to Disney out there and in my opinion it's also the most accurate. Next time you are heading to the most magical place in the world, make sure you pick up this book.
