Walt's World Wednesday - 12 Unquie Items to Pack
Games. - Most of your day will be spent waiting. Waiting for transportation, food, shows, parades, character and rides. Waiting is part of the experience at Disney World. To easy the pain for waiting, make sure you have things that will entertain the family. Pack bubbles for the kids. Put a book in your bag. Download trivia games on your phone. Make a scavenger hunt list to count the different type of mouse ears you see or anything you might come around the park. There are numerous things to do in line. Just make sure you pack enough games and entertainment to last most of the day.
Snacks - Sometimes dinning reservation are for those hard to eat at restaurants. However, it is hard to plan your hunger around them and the lines. That's why one should carry snacks. You can eat them it line and on the go. It saves money and time if you bring your own snacks. What more can you ask for!
Strollers covers - It rains in Florida. It rains all the time in the summer. You and your stuff will probably get wet. That's why I suggests a cover for your stroller and ponchos for you! Even a poncho for your stroller if you can't find a cheap stroller cover. This will keep you drier and lets you enjoy rides while other families wait out the rain.
Moleskin - One of the most important forgotten items on the list. Molesting will protect your skin from blisters. No one how broken in the shoe is, if you are not used to walking all day, your shoe will most likely rub against your foot. It works wonders. Moleskin is actually sold in some Disney World shops if you forget it. Also, don't forget other first band supplies such as band aids, tweeters, and medicines.
Battery Power fan/Cooling Towel - Florida is hot! No matter how long you lived in Florida you never get used to the heat and humidity. Cooling towels absorbs sweat and keeps you cool. Battery Fan give a little air it the hot summer days.
Compact External Charger - I will be honest. Disney World's app sucks life out of your phone. If you want to share your photos on social media, you will need to keep charging your phone over and over again before the day ends. Yes, there are outlets throughout Disney World. However, all your 70,000 friends in the park are looking for the same outlet plugs. Having your own external charger will get you through the day and doesn’t take up much space.
Zip lock bags - There are multiple reasons why Zip Lock Bags are on the top of every one's list. Organize anything in your bags from pens. Save your child’s unfinished snack for later. They provide a great place to keep your wet bathing suit or keep your electronics dry. Keep a few zip lock bags and you’ll thank me later.
Hand sanitizers - With 70,000 people in Magic Kingdom, there are a lot of germs. Yes you can wash your hands in the bathroom with soap but is that enough. What about touching the lap bars kids just sneezed on or hugging a character a kids just wiped their nose on. Yes, both happen. When eating snacks in line, hand sanitizer can save the day.
Sports bottle - As I stated before it is hot. Don't forget to drink water. Many people just drink soda or have a drink only at dinner. They usually become lightheaded and faint while standing in lines for a long period of time. Bringing a sports bottles helps you remember to drink. You also can take it with you on ride or in shows!
Aloe - Everyone will tell you to pack Sunscreen. However even with proper application, there is a chance of getting sun burnt. Aloe Vera Gel can smooth your skin before bed. Aloe Vera Gel with 1% Hydrocortisone cream can speed healing and improve discomfort.
Magic Bands - It may seem obvious to most people but if you are staying at a resort it is important to remember your Magic Band. They are your park ticket, room key, dinning plan and photos.
Patience - Disney World is stressful. It is crowded and there is not enough time in the day to do everything you want to do. Make sure you breath deep and relax. Don't forgot to have fun!
